Terms of Service
These are the rules for using the Cape Cod Bridge website. By using the site, you agree to them.
What we are
Cape Cod Bridge is a website and email list. We track the rebuild of the Bourne and Sagamore bridges. We are not a government agency. We are not affiliated with MassDOT, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or any contractor working on the project.
We share information from public sources and add our own summaries. We always link to the original.
Not legal or professional advice
The information on this site is for general use. It is not legal advice. It is not engineering advice. It is not financial advice. If you need professional advice about how the bridge replacement affects your home, business or travel plans, talk to a professional.
Accuracy
We do our best to be accurate. We read the source documents and summarize them in plain language. But:
- The project is big and changes often.
- We might make mistakes.
- The primary sources sometimes update without us noticing right away.
If you spot an error, tell us and we will correct it as fast as we can. For the most current information, always check the primary sources we link to.
What you can do with our content
You can:
- Read everything for free.
- Share links to our pages on social media or in email.
- Quote a few sentences with credit.
You cannot:
- Copy whole articles to another website without permission.
- Use our content for commercial purposes without permission.
- Change our content and republish it as your own.
What we can do with content you submit
If you send us a tip, comment or story idea, you give us permission to use it. We will credit you if you ask. We will not share your contact info.
Links to other sites
We link to many other websites including MassDOT, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Cape Cod Commission and news outlets. We do not run those sites. We cannot guarantee what they show you. If you have a problem with one of them, contact them directly.
Trademarks
“Cape Cod Bridge” is a brand we use. “Bourne Bridge,” “Sagamore Bridge,” “Cape Cod Canal,” “MassDOT” and similar names belong to the agencies and people that own them.
No warranties
We provide this site as is. We do not promise it is always available, always correct or always up to date. We are not liable for any decisions you make based on what you read here.
Limitation of liability
Cape Cod Bridge is not responsible for damages of any kind that come from using, or being unable to use, this site. This includes lost time, missed appointments and the cost of taking another route.
